Norm Macdonald’s house sitter was reportedly found dead from a suspected overdose in the comedian’s Los Angeles home, according to TMZ. Michael Huettner was watching the family’s cat while the SNL alum, 52, and his son, Dylan, 22, were out of the country.
Huettner, a 23-year-old high school friend of Dylan, was reportedly discovered on a bed surrounded by pills and pill bottles, TMZ reports. His family allegedly told officials he had previous issues with using oxycodone, which was found at the scene.
Huettner’s parents found his body after his girlfriend alerted them that he was house sitting for Macdonald. When they arrived at the home, the door was unlocked.
According to TMZ, some of the medications found on the premises were legally prescribed to Macdonald, and both the actor and his son are fully cooperating with investigators, and no foul play is suspected. A toxicology report is pending with the L.A. County Coroner’s office.
