Casey Kramer, daughter of film director Stanley Kramer, has passed away at 67 years old. Born in Los Angeles in 1955, she made her acting debut in her father’s 1979 drama film “The Runner Stumbles.” She appeared in various television series and film credits, including “Behind The Candelabra” and indie movies. Kramer was a long-time member of the Actor’s Studio and acted in stage plays.
The Kramer family is very saddened by the sudden passing of Casey Kramer in Chicago this past week. She was the daughter of Stanley Kramer and Anne Pierce Kramer, the sister of Katharine and Jennifer Kramer and the step-daughter of Karen S. Kramer. Casey was also pre-deceased by her brother Lawrence Kramer in 2010. Casey was a tremendously gifted actress, director and long-time member of The Actor’s Studio. She will be missed.

Her older brother, Lawrence Kramer, died in 2010. Her father was a prolific American film director known for “The Defiant Ones,” “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” “On the Beach,” and “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.” She is survived by her sisters Katharine “Kat” Kramer and Jennifer Kramer, and her step-mother, Karen Sharpe-Kramer.
